The vendor’s hands, stained dark by years of handling tamarind and palm sugar, rest on a worn wooden counter where the grain has deepened into black grooves from constant wiping. A metal tin box sits nearby, holding spoons and receipts, while a single wrench lies discarded near the edge, hinting at recent repairs to the stall’s metal awning.
