The desk surface reflects the cool blue of the evening sky visible through a nearby window, against the amber light of the bulbs. Negative space frames the object, emphasizing its stillness against the quiet room. The texture of the punched paper edges catches the light, while the metal punch gleams faintly under the string lights. A small pile of shavings gathers near the base of the punch.
