Helicopter Crossing Lapland Pine Forest Causeway

A military transport helicopter dominates the frame, its rotors frozen in a sharp arc against a heavy overcast sky. The aircraft flies low over a narrow causeway that cuts through a dense Lapland pine forest during late morning. Wet asphalt reflects the soft, diffused light filtering through the gray clouds, while droplets rest on the dark green needles of the surrounding trees. Moss covers the edges of the road and the forest floor beneath the canopy. The fuselage shows a dull metallic sheen under the flat illumination. Tall pines line both sides of the path, their branches hanging low near the ground. The horizon stretches far into the distance where the trees meet the low clouds.
