Hay moisture probe on stockyard ramp

A metal hay moisture probe rests on a rusted steel shelf bolted to the side of a concrete loading ramp. Late autumn air hangs still and clear, softening the edges of the industrial equipment under a pale, overcast sky. The probe's long sensor shaft points downward, its surface dull and speckled with moisture from the damp morning. Rust streaks run down the vertical metal supports, mixing with gray concrete textures that show years of weathering. A few dry, brown leaves rest on the rough ground below, against the cold, hard lines of the ramp structure. The low angle emphasizes the weight of the metal against the flat, gray light of the early day. A small drop of water beads at the tip of the probe's metal casing.
