The cool stillness before sunrise casts a blue-grey light over Bergen's Bryggen district, where historic wooden warehouses line the waterfront. A canal barge loaded with cargo rests quietly at the dock, its metal hull reflecting the dim ambient light. Wet cobblestones glisten under the streetlamps, leading toward the harbor entrance. In the distance, the silhouette of Mount Fløyen rises against the pale sky. A few early risers walk along the quay, their breath visible in the cold air. The quiet industry of the port as the city prepares to wake, with the barge serving as a central element of the maritime landscape.
