Halifax Evening Tram Descent Down Cobblestone Hill in Blue Light

A vintage green streetcar navigates the steep, winding cobblestone slope of a Halifax hill during the last blue light of evening. The tram’s yellow interior lamps cast a warm glow onto the passengers visible through the fogged windows, against the deepening twilight outside. Wet pavement reflects the vehicle’s running lights and the faint silhouettes of nearby Victorian row houses. Steam rises gently from a nearby manhole cover, adding texture to the cool air. Pedestrians in heavy wool coats walk along the sidewalk, their breath visible in the crisp maritime night. The historic charm and rugged topography of the city, showing the daily rhythm of public transit in this coastal Canadian town.
