Golden Light on Brass Lamps and Swatches

Warm golden hour light streams through high windows into a checkout lane near Chiado, Lisbon, slicing through the air to reveal floating dust particles. Brass lamps with curved stems rest beside thick fabric swatch books on a polished wooden counter. The low winter sun casts a soft amber glow on the metallic surfaces, against the deep reds and earthy tones of the textile samples arranged in neat rows. Shadows stretch long and sharp across the floor tiles as the day nears its end. A brass lamp handle catches the light, creating a bright specular highlight against the matte fabric samples at the edge of the frame.
