A sun-drenched corner of a Muscat souk reveals a vendor’s stall where bright white geraniums spill over the edge of a weathered wooden crate, their vivid petals against the dusty beige stucco of the surrounding archway. Beside the flowers, a collection of glass vases catches the sharp afternoon light, their surfaces reflecting the intricate geometric patterns of the nearby latticework. A faded sign hangs loosely from a rusted hook, its Arabic calligraphy partially obscured by the glare.
