Late autumn shadows stretch long and soft across the wood grain, against the cool transparency of the glass. The engraver's fingers show slight tension, guiding the instrument with precision. Behind the work, a window frame cuts through the light, revealing a blur of street activity outside. Dust motes hang suspended in the air, caught in the beams that highlight the texture of the table and the smooth curve of the glass. The scene ends on the microscopic scratch forming on the object's edge.
