Frozen Lightning Strike Over Barracks Corridor

Winter light falls through heavy curtains, illuminating a sterile military corridor lined with boot dryers and stacks of duffel bags. Inspection cards clip neatly to the exterior of each bunk room door. The concrete floor reflects the pale glow, showing the restrained clutter of the space. Above the sleeping bunks, a jagged bolt of lightning hangs suspended in mid-air, its branching paths frozen in a static, electric blue against the sky that should be outside.
