Fountain Pen on Parchment Plinth Berlin Museum

Warm amber light spills across a polished wooden plinth, illuminating the brass nib of a black fountain pen resting on aged parchment. The paper shows subtle texture and faint ink stains, against the smooth, dark lacquer of the pen's barrel. Behind the subject, a shallow depth of field blurs the heavy concrete and brickwork of the East Side Gallery. Low sunlight casts long, sharp shadows across the metallic clip and the rough edges of the paper. Dust particles float in the golden beams, catching the light before settling on the clean, restrained surface. The autumn season appears in the soft, low angle of the sun that falls across the object in a specific, quiet moment before sunset, with the brass nib reflecting the warm glow.
