Broad daylight floods the indoor gym space in Hangzhou, striking polished steel frames and the rubber flooring with a cool, late-summer intensity. A wooden crate holding interlocking foam edge-trim pieces rests directly on the black and grey rubber matting, positioned centrally near the check-in desk. The facility surfaces gleam with small highlights where the light hits the metal legs and the crate's rim. Faint scuff marks on the tiles mark daily use, while the orderly arrangement of the foam pieces suggests a recent staff reset. Leading lines from the floor tiles run across the ground, drawing the eye straight to the crate. The steel edge of the desk stands beside the crate, reflecting the bright ambient light against the matte texture of the foam.
