First light illuminates peeling turquoise paint on historic Boston row house facade

Early morning sunlight casts long, sharp shadows across the brick and stucco facade of a classic Boston row house. The camera focuses on a section of the exterior wall where layers of peeling turquoise paint reveal older coats of cream and gray beneath. A wrought iron fire escape climbs the side of the building, its metal rungs catching the first rays of the sun. Below, a sidewalk bustling with pedestrians in winter coats moves past the base of the structure. One streetlamp stands dormant against the brightening sky. The textured reality of an urban neighborhood waking up, highlighting the wear of time on the building's surface without any staged props or artificial lighting.
