A Finnish Spitz lies curled on a wooden window seat, its golden-red coat displaying the breed's characteristic dense guard hairs and soft undercoat. The dog's prick ears stand alert despite its resting posture, and its fox-like muzzle points slightly toward the glass. Soft, diffused light from the overcast sky illuminates the texture of the fur without creating harsh shadows. In the foreground, a worn velvet cushion edge shows signs of daily use, at the base of the scene in a lived-in Dusseldorf apartment. The late morning light blends with the dim glow of a lamp in the corner, highlighting the fine details of the dog's whiskers and the grain of the window frame. One dust mote floats in the light beam near the glass, showing the quiet stillness of the room.
