An English Foxhound stands alert on a gravel verge where a garden bed meets a paved path in Zhengzhou. Soft morning light spills from the left, highlighting the dense, short coat of the tan and white dog and the distinct shape of its long, drooping ears. The animal's muzzle is dark and wet, against the pale fur around its neck. Behind the dog, an uncluttered background reveals the edge of a green hedge and a section of a weathered brick wall, suggesting a private yard rather than a public park. One garden trowel rests on the ground near the dog's paws, and the gravel shifts slightly under its weight.
