Heavy embroidery threads drape from a metal rack set against the weathered wood of a flower auction bench in Besiktas. Late summer sunlight breaks through low-hanging clouds, casting sharp, high-contrast shadows across the red and cream patterns of the linens. The fabric swells slightly in the humid air, revealing intricate floral motifs stitched in thick cotton. Beside the rack, wooden crates hold the remains of auction flowers, their petals wilted under the tropical brightness. Human figures move in the blurred background, their colorful clothing adding depth to the crowded space. One frayed thread hangs from the bottom hem of a blue cloth, resting just above the dusty concrete floor.
