A traditional yellow tram glides along the curved tracks of the Ribeira district, its headlights cutting through the thin morning mist. The historic, colorful facades of the riverside buildings stand in quiet contrast to the dark water below. A few early morning pedestrians walk along the wet cobblestone streets, their breath visible in the cold air.
