First light washes over the distinctive arches of the Perth City Bridge, casting long, soft shadows across the concrete piers that rise from the Swan River. A yellow water taxi cuts a sharp white wake as it zigzags through the calm, grey-green waters near the floating dock at Elizabeth Quay. The morning sun glints off the glass facades of the high-rise buildings along the northern bank, highlighting the modern urban skyline. Pedestrians stroll along the paved riverfront path, their figures small against the grand scale of the infrastructure. The quiet transition from night to day, with the gentle movement of the boat providing the only dynamic element in the serene waterfront setting.
