A steaming cooking pot sits on a portable gas burner atop a cluttered wooden cart, releasing wisps of vapor into the cool air. Nearby, a lockable cash box rests securely beside stacks of fresh produce, including vibrant green bok choy and red radishes. The vendor, wearing a faded apron, carefully ladles broth into a bowl, his movements practiced and efficient. The quiet, functional rhythm of local life before the city fully wakes, with wet pavement reflecting the dim ambient glow of distant streetlights and the occasional passing delivery scooter.
