The view from a balcony in the Gaslamp Quarter shows the San Diego skyline as evening descends, with the city lights beginning to glow against the deepening blue sky. The iconic Hotel del Coronado is faintly visible in the distance across the bay. On the immediate railing, a simple aluminum coffee tin sits next to a set of diamond stud earrings, casually left by someone enjoying the view. Below, the street level shows the wet pavement reflecting the neon signs of nearby bars, while a small American Wirehair cat navigates the sidewalk near a doorway.
