The Austin skyline emerges against a twilight sky as city lights begin to glow along Congress Avenue and the surrounding high-rises. The Colorado River flows below, its surface disturbed by the bridge pier cutwater splitting the flood-brown current into turbulent white water. Leaf shadows from nearby street trees stretch across the concrete embankment in the foreground. A few pedestrians walk along the paved path, their figures silhouetted against the brightening urban backdrop. The transition from day to night in the Texas capital, with the historic 7th Street Bridge standing prominently over the churning river water.
