Rich amber light from the setting sun floods a dusty library table in Taxco, illuminating a devil ray suspended mid-air above the wooden surface. The ray's dark, smooth skin contrasts with the rough, dry texture of the scattered papers beneath it. Dust motes hang motionless in the golden beam, catching the fading daylight. Deep, quiet shadows stretch along the library walls, defining the room's corners without obscuring the central figure. The creature's wings are fully extended, frozen in a moment of impossible suspension against the warm glow. A faint reflection of the ray's edge glimmers on the polished wood grain at the bottom of the frame.
