Denim Aprons in São Paulo

A pair of faded denim aprons hangs from a narrow iron railing on a high-rise balcony in São Paulo, catching the harsh winter noon light. The fabric is slightly translucent where the sun hits it directly, revealing the rough texture of the cotton weave against the urban backdrop. Behind the hanging garments, the dense concrete facade of a neighboring apartment building fills the frame with rows of identical windows and air conditioning units. One white ceramic mug sits on the small concrete ledge beside the aprons, its handle turned toward the street below.
