A large Dogue de Bordeaux lies sprawled across the cracked concrete sidewalk in a Havana neighborhood, its heavy head resting near a faded blue door frame. The late afternoon sun casts long, sharp shadows across the peeling paint of the surrounding colonial building, highlighting the texture of the aged stucco and the worn stone pavers. A simple metal water bowl sits nearby, reflecting the warm light, while laundry hangs from a line above, adding splashes of color to the dusty street scene. The dog remains still, embodying the slow pace of the city as pedestrians pass by in the blurred background, their figures softened by the distance and the bright, clear air of the Cuban evening.
