Dawn Rain on Construction Door Template Board
Cold silver dawn light falls through unfinished glazing onto a wooden door hardware template board resting on a wet construction deck in Portugal. Steady rain coats the surface, darkening the wood grain and blurring pencil markings with droplets that slide slowly down the vertical planks. Converging lines of the deck boards lead toward a vanishing point where rain blurs the distant horizon. Autumn leaves lie scattered across the damp timber, their muted browns and russets against the gray sky visible through the skeletal frame. Water beads on the metal hinges and screws embedded in the template, catching the faint morning glow. at the edge is a single rivulet tracing a path along a pencil line before disappearing into a gap between the planks.
