First light of dawn casts a pale blue hue over the wet cobblestones of Wharf Street in Hobart, Tasmania. A pair of red-handled brooms leans against the brick facade of a heritage building near the Salamanca Place entrance. Fine yellow pollen from nearby eucalyptus trees settles on the metal railing and the wooden slats of a nearby park bench. The scene is quiet and still, with the harbor visible in the distance.
