Dawn Light on Nurse Cart in Casablanca Corridor
by Brody Booth
Soft morning light falls through sheer curtains lining the hospital corridor, casting pale, elongated shadows against the cream-colored walls. A stainless steel medication cart stands centered in the frame, its white plastic bins and metal trays reflecting the gentle gray-blue of the early sky. The floor is polished tile, showing faint reflections of the cart's wheels and the distant doorframe. Late summer warmth lingers in the still air, visible only through the high angle of the sun outside the window. The corridor stretches into negative space on both sides, showing the quiet solitude of the pre-dawn hours. A small red emergency button glows faintly on the wall, the only splash of deep color against the muted tones of the institutional setting. The cart's handle bears a slight smudge of use, at the base of the scene in daily routine.
