Cracked Ceramic Washbasin in Jaipur

A cracked ceramic washbasin sits on a rough concrete ledge outside a Jaipur home, illuminated by the harsh yellow glow of a nearby streetlamp. The basin holds a tangle of grey dish brushes and a white plastic cup, their surfaces slick with soapy water and residue. Above the basin, a hand broom leans against the textured pink sandstone wall, its coarse bristles catching the ambient city light. Water drips slowly from a loose faucet into the basin, creating small ripples on the surface of the stagnant liquid.
