A narrow alleyway in the Medina glows under the harsh sodium-orange spill of a streetlamp, illuminating a small, open-front workshop where a man sits on a low wooden stool. He is bent over a stainless steel sink, scrubbing the interior of a large copper pot with a bottle brush, the water splashing onto the worn terrazzo floor. Behind him, the dark doorway frames a glimpse of hanging textiles and stacked clay jars, while a single bare bulb casts long, sharp shadows against the whitewashed walls. The quiet, repetitive motion of late-night labor, with the gleam of wet metal contrasting against the dusty, textured surroundings of the ancient city.
