A heavy construction elevator gate stands open, revealing bundles of rusted rebar stacked neatly against the concrete barriers. Workers in high-visibility vests move between the site entrance and a waiting truck, their figures slightly blurred by motion. In the background, the distinctive Gothic spires of the unfinished Christchurch Cathedral rise against the twilight sky, at the base of the scene in its specific local context.
