Colored Glass Bottles in Museum Window Light in on a museum plinth near Timisoara

Colored Glass Bottles in Museum Window Light

by Phyllis Garza

Honeyed evening light floods a museum plinth near Timisoara, illuminating a row of colored glass bottles arranged in a neat line. The glass surfaces catch the sunset, reflecting warm amber and deep ruby tones that pool onto the nearby wooden display case. Fine dust particles float visibly in the shafts of light, suspended between the bottles and the window frame. Early spring is evident in the pale, soft quality of the light filtering through the glass. The bottles vary in height, their smooth textures against the matte finish of the plinth. Shadows stretch long across the surface, at the base of the objects in the quiet indoor space. A faint reflection of the window pane appears on the side of the nearest blue bottle.
