Color Bookshelf and Fireplace at Dawn in Lome

Pale dawn light slips across the wooden floorboards, illuminating a tall bookshelf organized by color gradients from deep indigo to bright ochre. Beside the shelf, a stone fireplace holds embers that glow softly in the low light, casting warm amber reflections on the surrounding terracotta tiles. Woven mats and dried raffia decorations hang on the walls, marking the dry season in Lome. Dust particles float gently in the slanted beams of natural light entering from a high window. The books stand tightly packed, their spines creating a textured rainbow wall against the muted beige of the plaster. One clay bowl rests on the hearth edge, its rough surface catching the cool morning glow.
