He uses a clothes brush to sweep crumbs from a wooden cutting board, the motion blurring slightly against the stillness of the early hour. Beside him, a stack of empty glass bottles catches the first light, their surfaces gleaming against the rough concrete. A discarded sun hat rests on the edge of the cart, its brim bent from wear. In the background, a rowing boat is being pulled onto the beach, adding maritime activity to the urban foreground.
