The dog's triangular ears stand alert while its muzzle points forward, displaying the breed's characteristic wedge shape. Fine dust particles float in the shafts of late morning light that cut across the dry air of the room. A worn wooden sill runs beneath the dog, showing scratches and a layer of fine grit that matches the dry season outside. The frame includes ample negative space around the animal, showing the quiet intimacy of the apartment interior near Arua.
