A central stone fountain sprays water into the cooling air, catching the fading light in sparkling arcs. Several pedestrians stroll past, including a couple in mid-century attire sharing a laugh. In the background, the distinctive gothic revival architecture of the Cathedral Square area stands silhouetted against the twilight sky. A few potted pumpkins sit on a nearby cafe terrace, adding a seasonal touch to the urban landscape. A candid moment of local life as the day transitions into evening in New Zealand.
