A dense-coated Chow Chow lies curled on a wooden window seat, its ruff of fur catching the warm glow of late afternoon sun. The dog's distinctive blue-black tongue rests against a dark muzzle, while small triangular ears stand alert atop a broad head. Golden light streams through the glass, pooling on the worn wood and illuminating individual strands of the thick coat. Soft shadows stretch across the floorboards, highlighting the texture of the fur against the smooth surface. The room remains quiet, with only the dog and the fading sunlight occupying the space. A brass latch on the window frame reflects a thin line of amber light.
