Chinese Crested Portrait in Guangzhou Light

A hairless Chinese Crested dog sits centered against a plain, pale plaster wall in a room within Haizhu, Guangzhou. The animal's leathery skin shows fine wrinkles around the muzzle and dark, expressive eyes that lock onto the lens. Soft, indirect morning light bounces off the neutral walls to illuminate the texture of the body without casting harsh shadows. A few sparse hairs remain on the head and tail, catching the first light of the day. Polished wooden flooring reflects a small, sharp highlight near the dog's paws. The tight framing isolates the subject, showing the contrast between the smooth skin and the rough, unadorned wall surface behind it.
