Under the harsh, shadowless glare of a São Paulo noon, a street vendor manages a crowded food cart, the metal surfaces bleached white by the sun. A dented aluminum cooking pot sits beside a stack of folded linen napkins, their crisp creases catching the flat light. The vendor’s hand, blurred by motion, adjusts a vintage radio perched precariously on a step stool, its dial glowing faintly against the stainless steel. Nearby, a woven cane basket holds fresh fruit, its textured surface against the slick, wet pavement where a discarded paper cup rests.
