Cane Juice in Marrakech at The Flat Glare Of Noon Light

Under the harsh, flat glare of noon in a narrow Marrakech alley, a street vendor stands behind a wooden cart laden with large terracotta pots. The vendor, wearing a faded white djellaba, pours steaming harira soup from a metal ladle into a small ceramic bowl held by a customer. Beside the soup station, a bundle of fresh green sugar cane stalks leans against the weathered plaster wall, their leaves catching the bright sunlight. The cobblestone ground is dusty, and the surrounding architecture features intricate zellige tilework in shades of blue and white. A few bystanders in traditional attire watch the transaction, creating a candid snapshot of daily life in the historic medina.
