Thick, amber-orange curry simmers vigorously in a shallow metal pot, sending up rhythmic bubbles that burst with steam. The dish rests on a cool, polished white marble table marked with subtle gray veining. Late afternoon light falls through unseen windows, casting a soft, even glow that highlights the glossy sheen of the oil on the curry's surface. Small, bright reflections appear across the stone countertop beside the pot. Vibrant green cilantro leaves and slivers of red chili pepper float atop the simmering mixture. Visible heat rises from the center as steam curls upward. A silver spoon handle glints in the diffused light, resting against the pot's rim. The steam blurs the edge of the spoon slightly.
