British Shorthair Cat on Kozhikode Bedspread at Sunset

A plump British Shorthair cat rests on a patterned bedspread near a window in a Kozhikode home. The animal's dense grey coat catches the warm amber glow of the setting sun filtering through rain-slicked glass. Outside, the sky shows the heavy saturation of the rainy season, while the interior remains dim as the daylight fades. Soft lamplight begins to pool in the far corners of the room, casting long shadows across the bedding. The cat's round face and broad chest are sharply defined against the textured fabric, its ears perked slightly toward the window. A small plastic toy sits abandoned on the quilt nearby, and the wet pavement outside reflects the fading orange light of the evening sky.
