The last blue light of evening washes over Bristol Harbour, illuminating a busy quay where a mail boat arrives at the dock while a junk boat with rust-red battened sails sits at anchor nearby. Steam rises from a nearby street food stall as pedestrians hurry past, their movements blurred by the fading light. A small fountain trickles in the background, its spray catching the dim glow, while a maiden hair fern in a planter adds a touch of green to the urban setting. The lively, unposed energy of the city at dusk, with the water reflecting the silhouettes of boats and the warm glow of street lamps beginning to flicker on.
