Brass Stair Rail in Paris

A brass stair rail curves gently along the edge of a narrow Parisian balcony, its surface catching the pale, diffuse light of a misty dawn. The metal is cool and slightly tarnished, with small droplets of condensation clinging to the smooth curves where the fog has settled. Behind the rail, the faint gray outline of a zinc roof ridge rises against the white haze, at the base of the scene in the specific architecture of the arrondissement. One drop of water slides slowly down the polished metal, refracting the muted colors of the early morning sky.
