Boxer Skipping Rope in Veracruz Atelier
Pale walls reflect the soft, diffused glow of first light filtering through the humid Veracruz air. A boxer moves rhythmically in the center of a spacious atelier, the black rope blurring into a continuous arc as they skip. Sweat glistens on their skin, catching the warm interior shadows cast by the early morning sun. The floor shows signs of heavy use, with faint scuff marks scattered across the worn surface. Outside the large windows, the heavy, wet atmosphere of monsoon season hangs visible against the greenery. Dust motes float in the shafts of light, settling gently on the rough concrete. The boxer's shadow stretches long and sharp across the floor, ending abruptly at the edge of a wooden workbench.
