Cool blue twilight floods the compact check-in counter inside the Bolu climbing gym warmup zone. Bright white ceiling fixtures cast sharp, clinical shadows across the matte gray laminate surface. Two silver turnstile arms rest in the upright position, their metal surfaces reflecting the overhead glow. A row of black waiver clips hangs loosely from the desk edge, their plastic bodies dull against the stark light. Cradles for barcode scanners sit empty, their dark recesses waiting for the next member. The dry season air is silent as lamplight settles into the corners of the room. A small scratch on the desk edge reveals the wood beneath the finish.
