The cool stillness before sunrise casts a deep blue hue over a narrow Lisbon alleyway paved with traditional calcetinho tiles. A worn stone boot scraper sits embedded in the curb near a heavy wooden door, gathering the last traces of evening dust. A local man in a wool coat pauses to shake out his shoes, his breath visible in the crisp air. Across the street, a vintage blue van idles softly, its headlights reflecting off the wet cobblestones. Steam rises faintly from a nearby café window, hinting at the day’s start. The quiet, authentic rhythm of the city waking up, grounded by the texture of the ancient streets and the subtle movements of its residents.
