The cool stillness before sunrise envelops a busy Melbourne tram stop on Swanston Street, where the grey pavement reflects the faint glow of streetlamps. A cyclist in high-visibility gear pauses near the yellow-painted tram tracks, checking their phone while holding a takeaway coffee cup. Several other commuters stand under the shelter, waiting for the early service, their breath visible in the crisp air. In the background, the red-brick facade of a nearby building stands quiet against the dim sky. A few bicycles are locked to a rack nearby, and the empty streets stretch into the distance, showing the mundane yet energetic start of a day in Victoria.
