Baker's Display in Milan

Just after sunrise in Milan, low-angle golden light spills across a narrow Via dei Fossi, illuminating a baker’s wooden display case where rows of golden panettone rest beside a woven cane basket holding rosemary sprigs. The warm light catches the texture of threadbare fabric at a cushion seam on a nearby balcony chair, while a safety razor glints on a windowsill above. A pearl necklace hangs loosely from a hook, catching the early glow.
