Bakelite Telephone in Luxor at As City Lights Begin To Glow

A heavy black Bakelite rotary telephone rests on a polished wooden reception desk in a Luxor hotel lobby, its cord coiled neatly beside it. Behind the desk, a clerk in a crisp white uniform stands near a wall clock, looking toward the entrance. Through the large glass doors, the warm glow of streetlights begins to illuminate the dusty air outside, casting long shadows across the tiled floor. The interior features high ceilings with exposed wooden beams and framed posters of ancient temples on the walls. A quiet moment of transition as day turns to evening in the historic Egyptian city, blending modern hospitality with timeless architecture.
