Soft morning light falls through sheer curtains, illuminating a symmetrical corner of a fashion atelier. Spools of silk thread in muted pastels sit beside a wooden pin cushion studded with silver needles. A half-finished hem rests on a work surface, the fabric edge raw and slightly frayed. Warm shadows pool in the corners where the light does not reach, against the bright illumination on the tools. The turn of the season is visible in the dust motes floating in the air, catching the glow. Each object aligns perfectly with the center line, creating a poised composition of materials waiting for the next stitch. One needle point glints against the dark wood grain.
